The New Erasmus Programme Guide: One Step Forward, Two Steps Back?

Erasmus by Train is pleased to see that the European Commission made significant changes to the Erasmus+ travel grant structure. If properly implemented, the new rules are an ambitious first step in making the Erasmus+ programme both more accessible and greener. At present, however, several National Agencies have not implemented the travel grant, making Erasmus+ students living in these countries worse off than before. We urgently call on the Commission to enable all National Agencies to implement its new rules by providing them with additional funds. Meanwhile, we encourage National Agencies to explore all options for implementing at least the higher grants for green travel.
